National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) of India reported huge pumping of foreign money into Indian equity market on December 6,2024.
As per data released by National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) of India, Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPI) pumped more than Rs. 24000 crores in equity market of India during the first week of December 2024 suppressing the selling trend of the last two months. The new buying trended of December first week brought confidence in India's economic outlook among investors and general public.
Foreign Institutional Investors had made major withdrawals in October and November of 2024.As per the data, the single largest investment was made on December 6,2024. On December 6,2024 itself Foreign Portfolio Investors invested Rs. 9489 crores in Indian equity market. In the previous two months of October and November the Foreign Institutional investors were net sellers.
The new trend made from the part of foreign institutional investors increased confidence in India's economic aspects and also alerted the market sentiments.
