The Union Government amended Colliery Control Rules for simplifying the approval procedures required for opening coal and lignite mines in order to accelerate coal production in India.

In its 58th meeting the MPC of RBI held during 3-5, December 2025 unanimously slashed the repo rate  under the liquidity adjustment facility (LAF)  by 25 basis points to 5.25%. The meeting was chaired by the RBI Governor Shri.Sanjay Malhotra.

India plans for the next phase of public sector bank consolidation . In the words of Finance Minister of India , said" a lot of big, world class banks" to meet the growing needs of a fast expanding economy. Further the Minister said " We will need to sit and talk with the Reserve Bank of India and banks on how they want to take it forward and also discuss with the Reserve Bank of India how they want to build larger banks." It is reported that discussions with the Reserve Bank of India and other concerned banks are already underway. Overview   Nifty is presently in positive trend since closing above 25781.In daily chart 25781 can be considered as a reversal point.Closing below 28781 will trigger bearish momentum . After touching altime high of 26104.20 Nifty has created two negative candles in the daily chart giving a cautious view. Balasore (Odissa)  Principal of an autonomous college in Balasore district of Odissa state in India has been arrested on monday in connection with an attempted suicide of a college student in the campus by setting herself on fire.
