India removed more than 4000 Indian citizens from Iran and Israel

 Under Operation Sindhu mission India removed more than 4000 Indian citizens from Iran and Israel in the midle of ongoing conflict between the two countries. India made 19 special flight service on June 18 to bring its citizens from the two countries to India, according to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA)

As per the latest disclosure by MEA Spokesperson on 'X' dated June 26,2025 a new batch of 173 Indian citizens evacuated from Iran and a flight from Armenian capital Yerevan, carrying 173 Indian citizens reached Delhi late night 22.30 hrs on 26 June 2025. As per the information a total of 4415 Indian citizens (3597 from Iran and 818 from Israel)

The official spokesperson of MEA said in his weekly media briefing a day before the Government of India is assessing the situation in Iran and Israel, decisions regarding the future course of actions will be taken on proper time and  proper manner.

At present a ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel came into force. The Official Spokesperson was asked whether India would continue Operation Sindhu after the Iran Israel ceasefire and about the total number of Indian citizens evacuated from Iran and Israel. He briefly explained that "we launched Operation Sindhu on June 18......I understand that one more flight is on it's way from Armenia and it will land later this evening, with that we would have completed....."
